At the Bunbury Chess club we are not grandmasters! but if you are trying to bridge the gap between beginner and intermediate, our coaching should be extremely helpful.
Our coach & president Michael will teach you:
1. What to do in the Opening phase.
2. Basic Tactics to win games: forks, skewers, discovered attacks, checkmate patterns.
3. Strategic Concepts: material, time, space and king safety.
4. Positional Ideas: pawn structure, piece play, outposts, weak squares, color complexes, general imbalances.
5. Advanced tactics: Deflection, Decoy, Interference, Clearance sacrifice, Windmill.
